The Mothers Day Note You Deserve

As many of you know, I love to read.    I’ve been fortunate enough to be exposed to many incredible books.  There are only a few that have moved me as much as The Middle Place by Kelly Corrigan.

The Middle Place is a memoir that is sprinkled with sparkling wit, a pinch of sadness,  and enormous tenderness.  It details Kelly’s childhood, marriage, family, and battle with breast cancer.

I usually give my books away after I finish them to friends that I think would enjoy them.  Not this one though.  I keep it on my book shelf and close to my heart.  I’m not totally selfish though – for a full year, The Middle Place was my go-to birthday and hostess gift to all of my friends.

Hope you enjoy this beautiful video written and read by Kelly.  And if you haven’t had the pleasure of reading The Middle Place, I suggest you hop on Amazon and treat yourself.  You’ll thank me later.

May your Mothers Day is filled with lots of love, plenty of rest, and maybe even a few belly laughs.

  1. I so loved that book! I was such a Daddy's girl myself, and I read it before my own diagnosis and then re-read and re-read. Happy Mother's Day to you!
