Wedding Wednesday

Happy Wedding Wednesday!  Today’s post is dedicated to  very important members of the bridal party – the Mother of the Bride and the Mother of the Groom.  When I did my research on dresses for this sometimes uncelebrated group,  I was shocked that most of the models were under thirty.

Love this – so sophisticated.

A little young to be MOB or MOG!

Come on…. this girl can’t be 20.

If this were the Mother of the Groom, I would skip the reception.

Hope you have a wonderful hump day!

  1. Ha…could not agree more…are they the brides or mother of the bride??? Really? I had my girls young, but honey…I do not look that good. FYI, my sunshine award post will be up first thing tomorrow. Thanks again for the nomination!!

  2. Gorgeous dresses, not your typical MOB selections available in stores. As of this past Saturday both of my children are married. I'm thrilled for many reasons, including never having to have a MOB/MOG dress again.

  3. Katie, These are gorgeous pics. I love the idea of the suit for the mother of the bride! Interesting comment about the age of the models. There are so many beautiful mature women that should be modeling some of these clothes.

  4. I'll be buying a dress soon, for my son's upcoming wedding in May. I {love} the last dress, but could never pull it off! I hope you don't mind, but I'm stealing your Wedding Wednesday post idea. I love your blog!! -Susan

  5. Great selection, Katie! Hahaha! I agree, most of these women do not look old enough to be MOBs! Also, many MOBs are not a size 0 and the dresses look a teeny, tiny bit different in real people sizes! When I chose my dress for my kids' weddings, I looked for something in which I felt comfortable and able to kick it on the dance floor!
